Maybelline Dream Bouncy Blush in Orchid Hush

Maybelline Dream Bouncy Blush in Orchid Hush, 0.19 oz for SRP

I officially banned purchasing drugstore blushes a short while ago, but this sucker was purchased over the late fall.  When I first purchased Maybelline’s Dream Bouncy Blush, I enjoyed them for what they were: cheap pocketable blushes I could throw in a gym bag.  I purchased Hot Tamale, Peach Satin and Coffee Cake and wrote about it in this postLate last year I decided that the only color I really dug on me was the Coffee Cake, so I gave the other two to a friend who is not that into makeup but doesn’t mind playing around with soft tints.  However, there was one more color I wanted to pick up and I do not regret it: Orchid Hush.

Orchid Hush is a very pretty light powder pink shade.  I find that I can only really wear this color when I am almost bare faced because the pigmentation is not that strong.  Like the other shades in this line, it does not have lasting power and can be eaten by face oils pretty quickly.  However, for the price, cost and fun factor of playing with a play-doh-like blush, I think it’s worthwhile to pick this up.  It’s definitely a great gym bag staple for when you go out barefaced (with sunscreen, of course).  As far as I am concerned, Orchid Hush and Coffee  Cake are the standout shades in this collection.  No reason to pick up the others.

Here is the swatch.

  1. Aw I wanted to try Orchid Hush, and while it’s a really pretty color, I can’t be bothered to reapply blush frequently throughout the day. I love the color, though!
